This year seems to be years of leaks where every manufacturer has their phone revealed to the public even before they decide to launch it.
The latest addition to this ever expanding list Is Samsung’s Galaxy A5 and A7 2018 editions.
Hardware and exteriors
Both the phones have very subtle, but importanrt design differences, with most of the specifications being the same.
Galaxy A5 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display, while the one on the Samsung Galaxy A7 is said to measure 6-inches and offer the same resolution. Some renders of the smartphone have also been shared online to hint a bezel-less display (though these are renders and not actual images).
The Samsung galaxy A5 & A7 2018, both, will have the Exynos 7885 chipset with 6 GB of RAM.There might be powered by the Snapdragon 660 in some markets.
The fingerprint sensor is at the rear (based on rendered images again), and the camera seems to be a single lens setup with a dual led flash. This is little hard to believe since Samsung is known to go with trends, and in most cases lead trends like dual camera setup.
Both the models are expected to feature dual front-facing cameras, 32 GB of storage, and could be resistant to water are as well as dust (IP68) as per Geekbench Specs.
The main difference between the two models externally seems to be while A7 seems to be made of a metal alloy, the A5 seems to be a plastic material.
How this would play out, only time will tell.
Samsung can be expected to officially unveil the new Galaxy A series at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January.
