Lenevo Inc has launched 2 more iterations of the Moto Z, but this time with a twist. Its called the Moto Z 2018 and Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Edition and inspired by the movie Kingsman: The golden circle.
Keeping up with the theme, there are some design elements which are there in terms of software and the phone itself.
Software and Whats in the box
The smartphones run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, with some Motorola Applications.
Moto Z 2018 Kingsman VIP Special Edition comes in a briefcase like box that includes a VIP Card, TurboPower battery mod, wireless charging mod, USB-C to 3.5 mm audio adapter, leather flip case, 45th-year-anniversary notepad, the USB-C Hi-Fi audio headphones, and a warranty card.
Hardware and exteriors
The hardware of the phone is the same as the Moto Z2 Force and there are no changes in terms of specifications.
It supports a 5.5-inch QuadHD AMOLED touchscreen, with a resolutiuon of 1440×2560 and 534ppi. Below the display is a fingerprint sensor.
The Moto Z 2018 is made from 7000 series aluminium, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, and come in two storage options — 4GB RAM +64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage.
A dedicated memory expansion slot good for microSD cards of up to 256GB is there as well.
The Moto Z 2018 and Special Edition both support a dual-camera setup 12 MP+12 MP at the back. At the front is a 5 MP, with a two-tone dual-LED flash of its own. It has a non-removable 2,730 mAh battery, with support for Quick Charge technology.
The Moto Z 2018 has the M logo at the back and in the front and on both of them, but the VIP Kingsman Edition has a gold finishing instead of the black.
Cost and Availability
The phones have been launched in China at a price of CNY 9,999 which means its $1,507 or €1,282 ors Rs 100500 approx. The Moto Z 2018 price is not known and there is yet no news of any of these coming to India.
